The European sportsbooks heavy investment in mobile gaming paid dividends, with sportsbook stakes and games revenue increasing by over 30% in the period from 1st July to 14th November 2011. 44% of all Paddy Power customers now use one of their mobile sports betting applications, for smartphones such as the iPhone 4S, the BlackBerry Touch or the HTC Samsung Galaxy S2.
Paddy Power have also managed to maintain their dominance of the mobile sports betting market. Almost a third of all mobile bets placed in the UK and Ireland are now via a Paddy Power application.
Paddy Power have long been at the forefront of mobile gambling in Europe. They became one of only a handful of online sportsbooks to have their native iPhone app listed in the Apple App Store. Earlier this year they released the worlds only BlackBerry dedicated sportsbook app.
Paddy Powers casino games have also proved extremely popular. A range of casino games and apps are now available for iPhone, iPad Touch and Android mobile platforms. Paddy Power also cater for mobile casino players with older handsets, by providing a range of Java games that operate on Nokia Symbian phones.
Paddy Powers strong financial results have resulted in a sharp increase in the companies share price, making it the most valuable bookmakers in Europe. Paddy Power is now worth more than Betfair, William Hill and Ladbrokes.
